Here comes the new year so it’s time to look back at the old year. It’s been a productive year! I was thinking about how much I used to dread creating source citations for genealogical writing. Most writers will say they are painful. My mother used to say “Practice, practice, practice.” I thought of measuring the year’s productivity by how many citations, mostly footnotes, I created. The tally is 982! After 982 source citations they are getting a little less painful.

Best Wishes for a Happy New Year!
