I am happy to announce the publication of a new Pryor wife story. It did not make it into my book Pryor Wives, but it is a story too interesting not to be told. The June 2024 edition of the Cornwall Family History Society journal, contains “Elizabeth (Chegwidden) Pryor of Wendron: The Lawful Wife,” For readers unfamiliar with John and Elizabeth (Chegwidden) Pryor– the married in 1775 in Cornwall England, John left for the American Colonies, and he died in South Carolina.
