These are two of the remaining photographs from the Vera Sinclair collection \u2014 the ones where the mystery took longer to solve. The photographs below were the most challenging to identify because the subjects were not Englewood, Colorado residents. Finding them required expanding the search beyond local records, demonstrating that a friend group can draw from a surprisingly wide geographic area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mildred (Jaros) Hoisington <\/strong>(identified)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her obituary describes her as a graduate of Grand Junction High School in Colorado and a long-time resident of Palisade, Colorado.<\/span>1<\/sup><\/a><\/span> The same photograph appeared in the 1927 Grand Junction High School yearbook.<\/span>2<\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edward Heckman<\/strong> (Identified)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edward was not a native of Colorado. This photograph appears in the 1932 year book for Des Moines High School in Iowa.<\/span>3<\/sup><\/a><\/span> While trying to identify the photograph another photo was located in his obituary.<\/span>4<\/sup><\/a><\/span> He had changed little over sixty years. He had the same tilt of the head and grin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
